MUTARS® RS Cup
The titanium alloy (TiAl6V4) MUTARS® RS Cup is a modular revision device which is flattened at the pole.
The MUTARS® RS Cup is available in five left-sided sizes as well as five right-sided sizes.
The titanium alloy (TiAl6V4) MUTARS® RS Cup is a modular revision device which is flattened at the pole.
The titanium alloy (TiAl6V4) MUTARS® RS Cup is a modular revision device which is flattened at the pole. Initial primary stability is gained via a wedge-shaped ischial flange and an arch-shaped iliac flange with screw holes. The ischial flange is embedded within a slot (prepared with a specially-shaped osteotome) in the ischium. The iliac flange is contoured to fit the available bony anatomy before being secured in place with 6.5mm cancellous screws. The bone-facing convex side of the cup has a porous EPORE® ingrowth structure for secondary long-term osseointegration.
The MUTARS® RS Cup is available in five left-sided sizes as well as five right-sided sizes and can be combined with:
• 32mm or 36mm internal diameter crosslinked ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) inserts with a 15° overhang to reduce dislocation risk – note also that a 4mm offset crosslinked UHMWPE liner is available which enables displacement of the center of rotation after definitive cup implantation).
• 38mm, 42mm, 46mm or 50mm internal diameter 2M cobalt chromium molybdenum alloy (CoCrMo) 15° inlays which are highly stable in terms of managing potential dislocation
• 2M inlays (see details above) with corresponding implacross® E (vitamin E stabilised crosslinked UHMWPE) heads as a tripolar anti-dislocation option.
