EPORE® Metaphyseal Components

EPORE® metaphyseal components are implants designed to fill in and reconstruct central defects of the metaphyseal bone in the distal femur or proximal tibia. The aim is to enable a stable basis for implantation of a knee endoprosthesis. Primary stability is achieved by press fit. Furthermore, the bone ingrowth is promoted by the high porosity of the EPORE®-structure, resulting in long term stability.

The EPORE® metaphyseal components are specially designed for the implants of ACS® SC and MUTARS® GenuX® MK and can be used exclusively with these system. Between the EPORE® metaphyseal components and the implants a solid fixation is achieved either by morse tape or screw. Thus, a fully cementless implantation of the system is possible.

The EPORE® metaphyseal components femoral feature a design that enables the use of femoral spacers in combination with the femoral component in order to reconstruct the femur in the best possible way.

EPORE® metaphyseal components tibial for MK are used for ACS® SC and the MUTARS® GenuX® MK. These are also available with an integrated bicondylar spacer +5mm or +10mm.

For the ACS® SC FB, specially developed EPORE® metaphyseal components tibial for ACS® FB have to be used.
